Fayette County Public Schools – Exceptional Children Parent Summit

Join Us for the Fayette County Public Schools Special Education Resource Fair and a presentation by the Family Engagement project on “Special Education 101.”

Local and statewide organizations will be available to:
– provide information about programs and supports for students with disabilities;
– help students and families plan for a successful transition after high school; and
– connect students and families with community resources, education, and employment services.

Also, join the Family Engagement specialists for a presentation on “Special Education 101” to:
– learn how parent involvement impacts student outcomes;
– review rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA); and
– understand the basics of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and the initial process for eligible students.
