Jen Aprea

Jen Aprea has been directing the family engagement project at The Arc TN since its inception in 2018. Prior to this role, she was an elementary teacher with a specialization in special education for 13 years. She left the classroom in 2013 after her son was born three and a half months prematurely. He came home from the NICU after 7 months and that launched Jen into the role of parent advocate. Working on the family engagement project at The Arc TN has been the perfect blend of both worlds being a bridge between families and schools.
